The goal for this project was to construct a new home on the same footprint as the existing summer cottage in order to conform with local ordinances. The owners wanted detailed elevations and interesting rooflines.

The upper level contains three bedrooms and two bathrooms that take advantage of views to the lake. There is an open sunken living room that allows a view of the lake through the house from the street. The screened in porch and breakfast nook along the lakeside have direct access to the lakefront patio and docks.

There is a full walk-out basement, a two-car attached garage, and a three-car detached garage with a studio above. The façade uses local stone, wood siding, and wood trim. There is traditional detailing such as Palladian windows, detailed columns, and a balustrade on a covered porch.
